Tales of the Bloodstone Lands
This tall, raven-haired woman commands the rooms attention when she enters.
Sheila Heidmarch cuts an imposing figure among Bloodstone City‘s elite. With her unusually low and sultry voice, she both turns heads at high society events and commands respect from her Magician’s Guild colleagues. Sheila is on the tall side at just under six-foot-tall. Her dark looks and swarthy complexion indicate some Nar bloodline in her family tree.
Born the daughter of a Impilturan merchant and a minor Damaran aristocrat of Heliogabalus , Sheila Astimaris knew from an early age that she was destined to spend her life exploring the wild frontiers that stretched beyond her city’s walls, so fascinated was she by both the tactics of battle and stories of Vaasa. When she later met the well-known adventurer and successful Pathfinder Sir Canayven Heidmarch of Bloodstone Village at a ball while visiting her distant kin, she knew she had found her match and lifemate.
Sheila lamented that the Magician’s Guild wasn’t wildly popular in Bloodstone City, and that the Gray College was recruiting most of the mages in the surrounding provinces. Sheila petitioned the guild to open a branch in Bloodstone City, to compete with the upstart Gray College, and was soon granted that honor. She and her husband returned to his manor in the city, and Sheila became Bloodstone’s first Magician’s Guildmistress, immersing herself in all the frontier wonders that had so enthralled her in her youth. Now she is seen as the guild’s steady hand, bringing ever more fresh recruits to her lodge to plumb the secrets of Vaasa.
Heidmarch Manor now functions as the Bloodstone Magician’s Guildhall. Sheila has gathered two fellow mages, Benay and Airees who function as teachers and mentors for the guildhall’s five apprentices.
